Amla or Indian gooseberry (Emblica officinalis) is the fruit of a deciduous tree found mainly in India. Amla is very rich in natural vitamin C. It is used as the main ingredient in the famous ayurvedic preparations of Chyavanprash and Triphala. Amla has powerful antioxidant, tonic and cooling properties. It is a rejuvenating herb and is widely used in maintaining good health of skin and hair.
Amla Shampoo helps strengthen the roots of your hair and improves natural hair growth and colour. It effectively pacifies Pitta dosha. Aggravation of Pitta causes accumulation of heating toxins, greying and falling of hair and dandruff. The shampoo arrests hair loss and reduces premature greying.
Active ingredients
Indian gooseberry enriches hair growth and pigmentation. It is very high in antioxidants and helps prevent premature greying, increases the strength of hair follicles and prevents loss of hair.
False daisy (Eclipta alba) is a traditional remedy against hair loss. It nourishes hair follicles and arrests premature greying. Its cooling effect provides relaxation to the mind.
Shikakai (Acacia concinna) means fruit for hair and has been traditionally used for strengthening hair roots and treating dandruff.
Indian spikenard (Nardostachys jatamamsi) is a well-known brain tonic and imparts a sense of calm and peace to the mind. It is extremely beneficial as an ingredient in hair preparations for calming your mind and improving hair pigmentation.
Fenugreek (Trigonella foenumgraeceum) is a good hair tonic and promotes growth.
Soap nut is a natural remover of impurities and excessive oils.
Directions for use
Wet your hair thoroughly. Pour a small amount of shampoo in your hand. Rub hands together to mix the shampoo. Apply the shampoo to the scalp with both hands and gently massage it in for 2-3 min. The water will carry the shampoo through the length of your hair during rinsing. Rinse thoroughly.
To strengthen the roots and moisturize your hair, prior to shampooing, apply a small amount of Amla Hair Oil or Bhringraj Hair Oil to the scalp and hair.
